They’re playing Wednesday, we’re not. That should give us an edge. We will be more confident after the last two results regardless of the performances which were better than some are suggesting. Big boost to still be in the Cup with so many Premier league teams out. Apparently Chelsea’s away support were signing Tuchel’s name today. Shameful. Our away support will be well up for it on Saturday and fully behind our team. We win.

Think we will do extremely well to get a point

When did we last score a goal from open play that was not the result of a mistake by the opposition? A goal where we open a team up, put a cross in someone gets on the end of etc.

2 very depressing defeats incoming with at least 3 or 4 of Moyes regular under performers from his “old guard” starting, players out of position, no pace and late subs when it’s too late.

Have a good week everyone :-)

I see us losing this one and the Everton game. If we do we're as good as down I reckon.

Thats exacly it Vexed - we must not lose both at the VERY LEAST.

I suspect that will be Moyes game plan - do not lose - the absolute cunt

After watching the Liverpool v Wolves cup highlights I would say we have more chance of getting a point v Everton than Wolves, although most likely to lose both.

Re: ⚽ Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
We're very close to a lose-lose-lose situation at this point. Lose both games, we're probably going down. Draw one or both and Moyes keeps his job a bit longer and probably relegates us. Win one or both and we probably survive this season but we'll get relegated next season because we'll still have fucking Moyes and any player with a modicum of ambition, self respect or talent tries to leave.

The board have fucked this right up. Should have binned him anywhere between September and the WC.

We have the best players of all the teams down there hands down. Problem is Moyes and his undying love of the old guard Antonio soucek fabianski and his absolute favourite no legs no brains cresswell . Apparently Moyes was gonna be sacked if we'd lost to Leeds according to Nigel Kahn who would know given his pal is whetstone.

So long as we keep the same deeeefence we have half a chance

If Wolves play anywhere near as well as they did at the weekend then I can't see us getting anything from this game.

Moyes touch is now rotten. He's like mould in a cold, wet room. It just slowly inches its way across the walls and ceilings. Eventually making everything mouldy.

yes, we can deeeeeefend out way to safety

Benrahma comes on and saves Moyes blushes against Brentford reserves with a worldy and watch him get dropped again.

Re: ⚽ Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
Agree with Russ, if Wolves play as they did at Liverpool they will stuff us! Judging by weekends results a number of clubs could now be looking for new managers, we should be looking to get at the head of the queue.

yes, but you clearly haven't noticed that we rarely defend well so to base our game to game approach doing this is chimpanzee level thinking

Wolves will be bang up for this one, the new fella seems to have them playing much better.

I think this game is d-day for Moyes, lose here and he's gone surely.

Lose this one and Moyes is sacked and could be back at LS managing Everton.

Re: ⚽ Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
Our defending is mediocre but not the worst in the league for sure. It’s average in terms of goals conceded but we don’t look like scoring when teams are well organised and get men behind the ball. In fact I can’t recall many goals this season we have scored from open play where it hasn’t come from a mistake dodgy decision, penalty? We don’t score from crosses into the box or other than Benrahma, get behind defences and when we do either no one there to get on the end of them or rarely when we do they are missed, scuffed or blasted over by Antonio, Fornals or this week Soucek misses from 4 yards. So no quality whatsoever. And Moyes demanding Scamacca get goals from tap ins in the 6 yard box.

He is not a “fox in the box” Moyes !! He plays in a pair and scores from outside the 6 yard area.

We need another striker without doubt. A pacy, strong one who gets in the end of things that can play with Scamacca. Antonio IMO is finished as a central striker if he ever really was. Stick him out wide if u play him and as an impact sub.
